Why Don't We Get Dressed Up and Go To Church?

(Karen, that post title is just for you...assuming you recall the way we messed with Jimmy Buffett's song on the parlor bulletin board.)

Sorry it's been so long since I've visited the blogmunity. It's just that cuddling with my warm, snuggly, adorable baby boy is a lot more alluring than fooling with a tiny, annoying laptop keyboard. I hope nothing big is going on with y'all...it's going to be a WHILE before I can catch up with your posts.

Anyway, I suppose I should get on with what everyone is waiting for: baby pictures!

Remember how I predicted that Bennett would be born on Super Bowl Sunday? Well, I was a little bit off. But we still had a big day that day. At 10 days old, Bennett made his first trip to church. All the ladies thought he was the cutest and the sweetest--he probably needs to get used to that!

Okay, now you can all tell me how gorgeous and smart and perfect he is! (We already think so, obviously.)

Talk to you later, it's time for a nap!

  • I. Am. In. Love. He is absolutely beautiful. Kiss his precious head for me, and give it a good sniff. I miss that baby smell.

When you have a moment, send me your mailing address. I have something for the wee man.

  • Yay! I was called out in a blog! :) Gina, seriously, he is the most beautiful baby boy I have seen in 2007 (the 2006 title was taken by my little guy). I still haven't heard the stats like height and weight and stuff like that. Snuggle that little guy for me. Although my guy if tons o' fun these days, he's not the cuddler of 6 months ago. Seriously, beautiful!

  • so i came here earlier. My previous comment proves this. But I thought of you today. I was looking at the wooden letter sets and I considered sending you T A N K. Just for fun. But then I came here to tell you and looked at the pic of you and Tanker sleeping and before when I saw it I was trying to figure out how you were laying on your side and holding him so high! "What the CRAP!" i said... but now I get it.... I'm silly.

  • Karen, he was 8 pounds even, 21 inches tall. Born on Thursday, January 25 at 10:30 p.m...but it was the 13.5 inch head that made the most impression on me!

Meg, I don't think I have your email, but mine is my maiden name (including my middle initial, which is the same as yours) at yahoo.com.

Thanks for the compliments--I obviously agree! And the extra snuggles, sniffs, and kisses you requested will be no problem!

  • You're not the only one, Arwen. It took me a good moment of staring before the lightbulb came on over my head. And I've napped that nap several times. :D

    So it's firstnamemiddleinitiallastmaidenname@yahoo.com?
Just making sure before I go shooting off emails to somebody that would totally be freaked out by my worship of Spring Chickens.

And I can't believe you remember my middle name. Then again, this is you. Yes, I can believe it. ;)

  • What a precious little guy! If I was with him I would give him kisses on his cute little cheeks!

Thanks TANK for reminding me how happy I am that I am having another little one. That sleeping with Mommy picture is Perfect.

  • already a heart breaker! He's got the BEST facial expressions! Looks like he'll be animated like his mommy. I think I will start calling him Tons of Fun!

  • Meg,
It's easier to remember your middle name since it's the same as mine (just spelled different). And yes, you got the e-mail address right.

KK and Jess, awww to both of your comments. So sweet!

  • Ok I'm a little late with the "Aww how precious" comments....but Awww! How Precious!

  • He's a handsome boy, Gina. Congratulations to you and Steve. Aren't the first few weeks just so great?! Don't you just wanna lay there and watch him all the time? Soak it in. Soak it in and just revel in it. Already Jasmine is bigger and looking around more. This is such a special time for you guys and I hope that you are experiencing all the joys that are uniquely yours as mom and dad to Bennett.

  • Gina, I can't remember if I've posted a comment since your little one was born (pregnant brain, you understand!) But I wanted to tell you congratulations, & that he is absolutely gorgeous. Great picture with the blue hat, by the way. I'm so happy for you guys. Kiddos do make it a little harder to keep up with blogs. I'll claim Lilyanah as my excuse for being so 'sparing' with blog entries & comments. Do you guys have a trip out here planned any time soon? Love you! ~ Wendy.
