Bennett Alexander Stevenson Kortan

Bennett Alexander Stevenson Kortan was born at 10:30 pm, Thursday, January 25th, 2007. Gina and baby appear to be healthy, and Gina pulled through . . . without any pain killer . . . for 9 hours. It looks like all they want to do is sleep, but she was feeling too energised when we left, so, we'll see.

Steve is sleeping now, but I suspect that grammie is too excited to sleep just yet.

Mom and Gina and I all send our love, and I'm trying to send emails with pics to dad, but my email won't accept such large packages, so I'll have to improvise.

  • I'm confused about who wrote this post, and why you don't have e-mail that sends photos properly. Especially if it's Ty. Whoever you are, please contact me through Gina or via the place where I work and I'll set you up with a gmail account. IT'S BETTER TRUST ME

Anyway, w00t! I congratulate you, Gina and Steven, on the production of this fine fine infant.

  • Yes, it is I, Ty, who posted. I'm not sure whether the problem was outlook, my email provider, or Steves computer, but I divided things into smaller sections and it worked. I'm sick now, so I'm not going to visit very much until I get better, but I am so happy with my uncle-osity.

  • BASK / Basque:A Very Honorable People, strong, loyal, and proud.(the largest population outside of Spain is in the Boise Valley, including Boise's own mayor) Blessings on you, I hope you live up to their high standards.

  • Way to go, Bennet! You made your way through that small tunnel into this world - hard work, eh? Congratulations, Gina and Steve :o) And, way to go to you, too, mom, for all your hard work in Bennet's grand entrance.

He is precious! Isn't it fun to just look at him?

  • I'm not hatin, but... Boise is SOO proud of their Basque population... it weirds me out a little... I don't trust that pride...... something shady going on there....

    seriously... I'm not hatin

yay again for Gina, Killer, and Tank.

  • That's right, I spelled the name wrong, Bennett has two "T"s, Gina wasn't available for confirmation when I wrote the blog.

  • Thanks for all of the congrats, compliments, and good wishes. It was a lot of work (still is), but totally worth it. Bennett is gorgeous and cuddly and healthy and just generally precious. We're all completely besotted with him--even when he'd rather scream than sleep.

Oh, and I'm glad so many of you knew you'd better compliment his name--with the sheer number of name related rants I've graced you with, it was probably a no-brainer. ("Say something nice about the kid's name, even if they name him Pluto Bicycle...unless you never want Gina to speak to you again! She's sensitive about it.") You're all so darn smart!

I'm going to be busy with my little man, so I might not be a frequent visitor in blogland for a while. Thanks for all the prayers so far...and feel free to keep them coming while we get used to each other.

  • I am totally behind...but...Congratulations! Yeah for how good you did delivering him...Yeah for new little Bennett...and Yeah for such a great name! I pray you have an amazing time getting to know your little guy and that you also get some sleep!
